Listening Here

Listening Here is a mobile app for mindful listening that delivers geolocated instructions that encourage creative engagement with the sounds of Albany, NY. Users can receive instructions as they move through the city in their daily lives, or navigate the city via an online map of “listening hotspots”. Both the instructions and the “listening hotspots” were informed by the contributions of community members, whose input was invited through public listening workshops, one-on-one interviews, and an online survey.
