A Tree You Have Known

This performance uses field recordings, vocal mimicry, and participatory instructions for listening and sounding to tune an audience into the “voices” of trees. Building a forest of sound from vocalizations of wind through the branches of various species of trees, “A Tree You Have Known” is a collective hymn of plant becoming and an opportunity to practice speculative listening to non-human, rooted voices of the world around us.
